Claudia Schaefer
Claudia Schaefer is a self-taught painter and photographer.
In recent years, her paintings and sculptured pieces with epoxy resin have represented an escape from the mundane and routine. Using bold colour and organic shapes, she explores chaos and order, serenity and excitement. Claudia has gained an intimacy with the natural world through her 30 year career as a botanist and ecologist, and she is fascinated by the way this relationship can manifest in her paintings.

Lisa Arthur
Lisa's art practice involves exploring many types of mediums. Lisa earned a Fine Arts Honours Degree at the University of Guelph and a Teaching Degree at UBC. She has also studied at Emily Carr University and Ottawa School of Art. Lisa currently provides private art instruction.

Jani has been a member of the Arts Pacific Co-op Gallery for more than 15 years – so she is constantly creating. Jani had previously shown her fibre arts and pine needle and raffia baskets at the Purple Door when it was operating. She has participated in various shows at BIAC, including the 2015 Wearable Art show -for which she created a video tape dress and hat in homage to Evelyn Roth and her vision of recyclable/upcycled art.
